The restoration and modernisation of this admirable hotel is now complete and befitting of its setting in the ancient hunting grounds of the Kings of France. The immense, 14th Century stone walls encircle the peaceful courtyard and garden between the Hôtel de La Bretesche and the golf course clubhouse. Found on two sides of this courtyard, the bedrooms have been decorated and furnished in harmony with the history of the buildings and with a subtle eye for detail. The restaurant, with its huge windows gazing over the serene lake to the island Château beyond, serves dishes fit for a King. For a relaxing aperitif there is no better environment than the soft leather armchairs of the bar, beautifully crafted from the old hunting stables.
