Southern Brittany golf courses

Val Queven
Architect: Y. Bureau.
18 holes: 6100m: par 72.
Fairly generous fairways roll through the ancient forests. Some treacherous water hazards lurk around this spacious course.

St. Laurent
Architect: M. Fenn.
18 + 9 holes: 6112m: par 72.
This classic parkland course has twice hosted the French P.G.A. Championship. Many long par fours that demand accurate use of the driver.

Ploemeur-Océan
Architect: M. Quenouille.
18 holes: 5957m: par 72.
Half-links/half-parkland. If the wind is blowing the forest holes will come as a welcome relief from the exposed coastal nine.

Baden
Architect: Y. Bureau.
18 holes: 6145m: par 72.
A delightful course meandering around the Gulf of Morbihan. A huge variety of holes and scenery as you play down to the estuary and back up through the pines.

other courses to consider

Rhuys Kerver - on a wild bird sanctuary further South along the coast.
Cornuaille and Odet - away to the North near the pretty town of Benodet.
Rennes-St. Jacques and La Freslonnière - if you are passing through Rennes en-route to the Channel ports these are two very good spots to break the journey.
