The best hotels for golf holidays in Biarritz, Bayonne, Seignosse & Moliets
REgina**** Backing onto the Le Phare golf course the Régina is a remarkably light and airy hotel. The bedrooms are all built around the perimeter of the building leaving the centre hollow. This creates a bright voluminous entrance hall and restaurant unlike anything you will find elsewhere. This brilliant design has been further enhanced by the extension of an internal canopy to engender a more intimate feel to the dining room. The bedrooms themselves are also large by design. The hotel is so handily placed for the golf club, there is even a buggy that can be arranged to call at the back door to take you to the clubhouse! |

Tonic Hôtel**** A minute at most from “La Grande Plage”, in the heart of Biarritz, the Tonic Hôtel offers exceptional value for its location. It also benefits from good car-parking facilities both behind the hotel and even more securely an underground car park that connects via a lift into reception. In addition to its excellent restaurant La Maison Blanche and welcoming bar, the bright, agreeable rooms come complete with the added luxury of whirlpool baths - just the thing after a hard day out on the course! N.B. Although there are two grades of rooms available; we only offer the recently refurbished Superior rooms (which are also slightly larger, so they make for much better Twin rooms). For evenings out, all of the other restaurants, bars, the Casino and night-clubs of Biarritz are on your doorstep, so you can choose just how deep into the night you wish to play...

La Louisiane*** Simple, straightforward, no-nonsense. Would be the best way to describe this recent addition to the long list of Biarritz hotels. However, the location is excellent, right in the middle of town, just off the main road that leads down to the Place Clémenceau and La Grande Plage. If you intend to spend the best part of your days out and about on the golf courses, beaches or in town, the clean and tidy 3-star Louisiane makes a lot of sense. There is a restaurant at the hotel that serves simple local menus (set menus are great value), but in any case, when you stay in Biarritz you are spoilt for choice of dining options. Try our favourite Tapas bar "El Bodegon" just across the street. Worthy of note is the small garden behind the hotel with its small swimming pool and the fact that there is a secure car-park directly under the hotel. |

Biarritz Radisson SAS****
The Biarritz Radisson sits on the southern side of town, just above the Old Port with its excellent array if bars and restaurants. A bright, modern hotel it was converted a few years ago from a listed building (we bet you can't guess what it used to be!). One of the outstanding features of the Radisson is the size of the bedrooms - amongst the largest we've come across in France: ideal for single-sex parties looking for Twin rooms. The hotel's other unique feature is the roof-top pool and sundeck bar, perfect for relaxing in peace and quiet. There is even waitress service to ensure that you don't overdo it getting up to get a drink every so often. The hotel has a good restaurant serving a pan-european mix of dishes; more traditional Basque fare can be found at the numerous restaurants within a five-minute walk. |

Seignosse Golf Hotel*** Fashioned in an intriguing “Louisiana” style, the Golf - Hôtel Seignosse sits on the fabulous course and is perfect for those wishing to extract the maximum amount of golf from Seignosse, Moliets and Hossegor during their stay. Ensconced in the midst of a dense natural pine forest, the Golf-Hôtel at Seignosse provides the perfect retreat, far from worldly intrusions. If you feel in need of an afternoon away from the courses then just beyond the pines, past the Mimosa shaded houses, the sun-baked beaches and local marinas beckon. |
