Our selected hotels for golf breaks in Chantilly: Dolce Chantilly - La Grange aux Loups - Hotel du Parc - Hostellerie du Lys - Mont Griffon
| One of the finest, and most easily accessible, areas in France for golf is Chantilly. With a classical 16th Century Château sitting proudly in its formal gardens as the town centrepiece and a dozen top-notch courses to choose from, it outshines all other areas in northern France for choice of courses, culture and cuisine. For golf trips to this region
of France, (about 25kms. north of Paris) there is really only one
place to stay - The Dolce Chantilly. Beside the airy reception there is a very comfortable bar - where Golf Par Excellence guests enjoy a 25% discount on their drinks! The hotel course is possibly the least demanding in the area, but pitched exactly right for a warm-up round on arrival.

La Grange aux Loups*** In the unassuming sleepy hamlet of Apremont, just a long putt from the Golf Club of the same name, is the cosy family run Auberge - La Grange aux Loups The Auberge, founded by Jean-Claude Jalloux and his family, almost entirely on a reputation for fine cuisine is much appreciated in the vicinity. It is often difficult to find a free table for dinner, although this is an easier task on warm summer evenings when the restaurant spills out into the garden. Watch out for Jean-Claude’s other specialist subject - opening champagne with a golden sabre! There are just four en-suite double rooms in the Auberge’s annexe, so please plan your trip well in advance - especially if you would like to take all four rooms for your party. Whilst staying at La Grange aux Loups you will be able to leave your car in teh secure paking area in front of the rooms. |

| Hotel du Parc*** A straightforward three-star hotel in the centre of Chantilly. Simple accommodation for those looking for easy access to the bars and restaurants on the "High Street". And you won't even have to stray that far from home as there is an English style Pub and Indian restaurant on the Ground Floor and a Night Club in the basement! There is an adequate breakfast buffet at the hotel and although there is no restaurant per se the separately managed Indian restaurant is good and rather unusual for France! You will find a wide choice of other restaurants and brasseries just a stone's throw from your front door. The hotel also benfits form a private car park, for which there is a small overnight charge. |

L'Avenue**
L'Avenue is one of Chantilly's best brasseries and is located on the crossroads right in the centre of town. There are a few simple rooms on the first floor: nothing fancy, just clean and tidy. If you are here for the golf and restaurants in town it makes an economical base - we wouldn't recommend it for honeymooners!

Hostellerie du Lys*** In amongst the swanky residences and towering oaks of the Domaine du Lys (close to the Golf Club of the same name) lies this long-standing family owned and run establishment. Sized somewhere between auberge and hotel, traditionally styled rooms are arranged in three buildings around a small central garden and pool. A quiet spot with plenty of character and delicious “home cooking”. |
|
Mont Griffon*** South of Chantilly, in the quiet of the countryside, lies Mont Griffon. On this golf complex there is a clean and simple three star hotel, 18 and 9 hole courses, an approach course, plus huge driving range complete with grass bays, practice bunkers, chipping greens etc. etc. The clubhouse restaurant overlooking the course opens in the evenings and this is where dinner is normally served. The nearby town of Luzarches has a couple of brasseries for alternative dining. |

PariS Hotels If you would like to add a few days in Paris to your golfing holiday then we can arrange a stay for you at a Parisian hotel. There are hotels just across the road from the Gare du Nord (where trains arrive from Chantilly and the Eurostar terminates) making transporting golf clubs very easy. Or we can book you into a more central hotel if you prefer? |
