Golf holidays - Le Touquet & HardelotThere are a lot of very good golf courses around Le Touquet and Hardelot and for golf holidays both Le Touquet and Hardelot make a good base. Le Touquet is by far the larger of the two towns with plenty of hotels, cafés and bars in the centre of town (and a few nightclubs too). Golf holidays in Hardelot tend to be a little quieter as the town is very small, just one High Street with a handful of casual brasseries, Hardelot is mainly a string or apartments along the beach.  
Golf courses in Le Touquet & HardelotThe five main golf courses are the two at Hardelot: Les Pins & Les Dunes; two more courses at Le Touquet Golf Club: La Mer & La Forêt, plus the excellent Belle Dune golf course a little further to the South. Backing these up are the smaller Golf Clubs at Wimereux and Nampont St. Martin. Both of which have nice golf courses with a little less grandeur. Heading slightly inland you will find St. Omer a nice golf course that hosts a European Tour event every year, a good en-route stop off. |
Getting to Le Touquet & HardelotThe very easiest way to access Le Touquet and Hardelot from the UK is via the Eurotunnel or frequent ferries to Calais. From here it is just an hour to Le Touquet and slightly less to Hardelot.  
Montreuil-sur-MerAnother great place to stay is in the old fortified village of Montreuil-sur-Mer. A classic French town (in fact the original setting for Les Miserables) that is only half an hour from the coast. A little less touristy than Le Touquet, but still with plenty of superb restaurants and a real French flavour. |
