Our selected golfing hotels: Hardelot - Le Touquet - Montreuil sur Mer
The Westminster Hotel****
| The impressive facade of the Westminster Hotel dominates the entrance to Le Touquet. A classic 1930’s hotel from the wrought-iron lift cages to the restrained oak-panelled cocktail bar. The beautifully refurbished rooms retain many of their original features and have recently been redecorated and refurnished in thoroughly modern styles. There is a choice of restaurants at the Westminster: the ‘Pavillon’ for gourmet dining or the more informal brasserie "Les Cimaises". On the ground floor beside "Les Cimaises" you will find the recently added pool, jacuzzi and spa area. Or for internal relaxation therapy there is also the classically styled bar and lounge area with its outdoor extension for sunny afternoons.

Holiday Inn**** - Le Touquet
![]() ![]() |
At the entrance to Le Touquet the Holiday Inn sits in its own little park, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of this lively seaside town. That said, if you do wish to hurl yourself into the Le Touquet nightlife it is only a two minute walk to the main Casino and five minutes further into town. Making the Holiday Inn a quiet little corner of Le Touquet. The hotel itself has a very spacious, almost conservatory-esque feel to it with high glass ceilings along the main hallways and indoor plants blossoming in many corners. The bedrooms are large and comfortable with everything you would expect in a four star establishment. The hotel's restaurant continues the conservatory theme and even spills out onto the garden terrasse on sunny afternoons and evenings. If daily golf is not enough exercise for you, there is an excellent indoor pool and a roof-top tennis court where you can run off any excess energy.

| Hotel du Parc*** - Hardelot Right between the courses at Hardelot, and only minutes from either, the Hotel du Parc is a well thought-out modern hotel. The town of Hardelot itself is quite small (there are a few seaside shops and a couple of bar/brasseries) but the Hotel du Parc has everything you need for a short sporting hop across the Channel. The well-designed, sizeable bedrooms with their separate sitting areas make very good twins; many have balconies too. Beside the hotel’s “Orangerie” restaurant, there is the spacious piano bar - complete with real log fire - ideal for unwinding and explaining away those dropped shots... Outside you will find the pool, accompanying sun-loungers, plus a tennis court or two and the hotel also has a secure car park. For golfing families a few apartments are available available - please let us know if these might be of interest to you? |

Hotel Hermitage*** Montreuil-sur-Mer In the popular medieval walled town of Montreuil-sur-Mer is in fact no longer "sur mer" (the tide went out a long time ago) but twenty minutes or so directly inland from Le Touquet. Here, you will find the latest three star hotel to be added to the choice in the Pas de Calais area. The Hermitage is an old red-brick Monastery that has now been converted into a very comfortable three-star hotel. The hotel is thoroughly modern internally with bedrooms that are well sized for a three star and bright bathrooms. There is a very good restaurant and a welcoming bar on the ground floor, plus a secure car-park behind the hotel. The ancient town of Montreuil has a lot of history and has retained more genuine French character than its coastal counterparts. Small enough to get to know in an afternoon, yet large enough to offer a choice of very good restaurants, plus shops and cafés around its central square and down its cobbled side-streets. The perfect size for strolling.

Coq Hotel*** - Montreuil-Sur-Mer Beside the main square in the epicentre of the exceedingly French town of Montreuil-sur-Mer, the Coq hotel offers real French lifestyle accommodation. The hotel has grown out of the tremendously succesful Coquempot restaurant run in a tradtional fashion by Monsieur et Madame Pousset and serving outstandi, traditional French cuisine. To this success they have added six very comfortable bedrooms around the courtyard garden and in a newly built annexe at the far end of the garden. There is some car parking available within the hotel amd more spaces are available in front - as long as it's not market day! Breakfast is a very extensive buffet and at dinner time you will be most welcome within the walls of the dining room or at any other of the many restaurants in town - all easily strollable from the hotel. The hotel also has a tiny bar (on the right as you enter) which is easily missable, but warm and characterful, ideal for aperitifs before heading out to dine. |
