One of the legends of Scottish golf; what golfer cannot call to mind climactic scenes from so many Open Championships over the fabled Ailsa links?

Situated on a rugged stretch of Atlantic coastline, where the rolling Scottish hills tumble down to the Ocean, Turnberry is unquestionably one of the great golf resorts of the world.

The entire estate covers some 800 acres, encompassing the hotel, the Ailsa and Kintyre courses, the golf lodges, plus the recent additions of the Colin Montgomerie golf academy and the spa.

The hotel itself sits atop a small rise, gazing out over the two courses and on to Ailsa Craig out in the Atlantic.  It is a stately building and decorated accordingly.  There is a real sense of the traditions of the game within its oak-lined walls.  Bedrooms have all the five-star trimmings and feature the trade mark "Heavenly Beds" which live up to their name!
