Park Hotel****
One of the finest hotels in Desenzano
with the finest location. The Park hotel
sits in the very centre of town, looking out over the lake, near
the town's small beach and right at the end of the cobbled pedestrian
section.
The hotel itself has forty five rooms
and twelve suites all of which are very well appointed (air conditioning,
TV, mini-bar, etcetera) and have been decorated in light modern
shades that lend the hotel a feeling of classic elegance.
The hotel has a welcoming bar on the
ground floor next to the formal restaurant the "Due Colombe"
(don't panic - jackets are not required!). A short lakeside
stroll away you will find a huge choice of other restaurants ranging
from simple late night pizzerias, swish enotecas, to the stereotypical
family-run establishments all quick-fire Italian and gyroscopic
gesticulations - great fun!
Although there is no swimming pool at
the hotel there are stretches of beach along the lake (easily walkable)
where you can literally immerse yourself in the scenery of beautiful
Lake Garda on a hot Summer's afternoon.
Conveniently, the hotel also has plenty
of car-parking space infront and a secure underground garage (for
which there is a small charge).

| Piccola
Vela****
On the eastern edge of town, set-back from the
main road, you will find this very up to date hotel. The rooms
are larger than average and very well appointed (mini-bars, air-conditioning
etcetera). There is a quiet garden at the rear of the hotel
and another garden in front which is mostly taken up by the hotel's
pool, which is well shielded from the road by thick hedges.
Underneath the hotel is a good-sized garage and there are plenty
more parking spaces on the forecourt.
The hotel is very well run by
a young team and there is a tremendous restaurant on the ground
floor which serves a tempting selection of traditional dishes with
a few subtle twists to appeal to a more international spectrum of
diners.
Outside across the main road the lake
itself is at your feet, as are the livelier bars and eateries that
make-up the trendier eastern side of Desenzano. There are
also a few late night venues around where you will come across an
altogether different take on Italian country living...

Sole e Fiori***
Very close to the centre of Desenzano the Sole
e Fiori is a simple, clean hotel with a family run feel to it. This
unpretentious establishment with its simple rooms and small bar
is ideal for enthusiastic golfers looking for a good value base
from where to explore all of the surrounding courses.
The location is hard to beat,
on a side road just off the lake, the town centre is a mere two
minute walk away with all of its bars, cafes and restaurants. So
although the hotel does not have a restaurant,
sustenance is never far away. Indeed,
one of the best restaurants on the main square in Desenzano, the
"Caffé Italia", has a strong relationship with
the hotel and here you will benefit from a 10% discount.
Another very useful feature of
the hotel is it's huge indoor car-park across the road, so no parking
problems whatsoever!
The hotel is a very short walk
to the lake where there is a stretch of beach for anyone wishing
to take some afternoon sun; or alternatively there is also a sun-deck
on the roof.

Castello Belvedere Apartments
A different style of accommodation for a different
type of golf holiday. The apartments of the Castello Belvedere offer
high quality self-catering accommodation in a small complex built
into and around the 18th Century Castle. The resort sits in a vast
nature reserve of olive groves just two miles southwest of Desenzano
del Garda.
There are twenty-seven apartments in
total with various combinations of bedrooms. So just let us know
the make-up of your party and we shall liaise with the Belvedere
to reserve the best possible permutation of apartments for you.
During the months of July and August reservations are usually from
families staying a week; in Spring and Autumn however we can arrange
shorter stays for you.
Don't worry about bringing linen and
towels - it is all supplied and daily cleaning can also be arranged
for a small extra charge. There is a reception on-site open during
the day in case you require anything, plus night-time security. |
Eden Hotel****
If you are planning a romantic trip then there
can be few better places to stay than the medieval fortified town
of Sirmione on its slender promontory jutting
into the lake.
The Eden hotel has a prime location to one
side of the main square and looks out over the lake. From here
you can stroll the narrow streets of Sirmione (always busy during
the day) or relax on the quiet sun-deck suspended over the lake
itself.
Cars are not the ideal form of transport in
Sirmione with its tiny streets and myriads of meanderers. However
the hotel has its own garage so that once you have negotiated
your way into town, the car can be tucked safely away.
