Lagos is a traditional Portuguese town that was in existence long before the arrival of golf holidays in this part of the Algarve. The town is a succession of narrow black and white cobbled streets lined with restaurants and bars aiming to catch the holidaymaker's Euro, but somehow it all seems a lot more genuine. Indeed many Portuguese choose to holiday here - so they must be doing something right!
Restaurants and cafes are everywhere through the old town and, as you might imagine on the Algarve coastline, fish and seafood is a speciality. Browsing around you will find some great value on offer, thanks in part to the fierce competition for business.
Golf Holidays at Penina

Along with the courses at Penina, there are many others around the area too, giving those on a golfbreak plenty of choice in where to play. Most of the nearby courses are in a more Portuguese style, adding variety to your game as well.
Penina has plenty to do for non-golfers too with its big pool and spa facilities, bars and choice of restaurants making it a good choice of venue for those with non-playing party members.
Getting to Lagos & Penina
Getting to your golf holiday at Penina or in Lagos could hardly be any easier with so many flights to Faro - the gateway to the Algarve. From Faro airport it is only an hour's drive west to Penina or Lagos on good motorways. We can arrange flights for you if you wish or are equally happy to let you book these yourselves if you prefer?
We can arrange a hire-car for the duration of your holiday, or we have a very reliable coach and minibus company that we use if you prefer to be chauffeured from golf course to golf course in and around Penina and Lagos.
