In Spain's deep South, surrounded by Sherry country, well away from the crowds that flock to the Costa del Sol, at Montecastillo you will be able to bask in plenty of the 300+ days of sunshine it enjoys per year, in peace and tranquillity. Around the resort, the old town of Jerez makes a fascinating day out (especially if you are partial to a glass of sherry or two) as does Seville and the port of Cadiz. The hotel's crenellated walls (a la Wentworth) lend an Imperial feel to the 121 luxurious bedrooms of the resort; there are also one and two bedroomed villas available, for those who like their independence. After your round, the choice of two restaurants will replenish your energy levels: the relaxed "Jardin de Invierno" for a light dinner and the gastronomic "El Lagar" with its own variety of Andalucian cuisine. Flights from the UK arrive at both Seville and Jerez
airports. The most economic route is without a doubt the Ryanair
flights from Stansted into Jerez. If you are at all flexible with
your dates then some great bargains are to be found. Once in Spain we shall arrange for a hire-car to be ready and waiting at the airport, or alternatively, should you just wish to stay at the resort for the duration of your trip then we could always arrange for you to be met and taken to Montecastillo by Chauffeur driven vehicle. |
