A very hot week was had by all: we don't think Normandy has ever seen
30+ temperatures for a whole week before!  So the battle was intense on the course, as was the post-match cooling off around the pool at the Hotel du Golf Deauville.

First Prize: Malcolm & Rita Barker - Buckinghamshire
Second Prize: Pat & Judy McLaughlin - Hampshire
Third Prize: Leighton & Thelma Davies - Glamorganshire

The tournament hoteL

Five nights accommodation in the luxury of the Hôtel du Golf**** Deauville, high on Mont Canisy, surrounded by the Deauville golf course and with wonderful views across Normandy and the Channel.  Behind the traditional Norman facade of the Hôtel du Golf lurks a surprisingly stylish luxury hotel that is carefully and continually reinvented every few years or so.

Competition Schedule

Sunday 18th June Arrival at the Hôtel du Golf Deauville (via Brittany Ferries from Portsmouth to Caen or Eurotunnel and a half-day drive from Calais). Afternoon: Optional 9 or 18 holes at Deauville (small supplement). Evening: Cocktail reception and dinner - Louis Jadot wines included.

Morning: First competition round at the hotel course - Deauville.  18 holes of pure Normandy countryside golfing in the woodland around the hotel.

Afternoon & evening: free.

Morning: An hour's drive inland to the Chateau of Champ de Bataille with its magnificent golf course tucked away in the forest.  (Chateau is a national monument open to the public).
Afternoon & evening: free.

Wednesday 21st June A full day off to relax and enjoy the luxury of the hotel, the town and beaches of Deauville or delve a little deeper into the Normandy countryside...

Morning: Final competition round at Amiraute.
On the river plain below the hotel a modern style course that follows the twists and turns of the river Touques, with plenty of water and, uniquely, a few sculptures in play.
Evening: Reception and prize-giving dinner - Louis Jadot wines included.

Friday 23rd June Departure day - or, with so much to see and do in the area why not stay a few extra nights and investigate Normandy: Honfleur's pretty quayside, the Bayeux Tapestry, Pegasus Bridge, the Normandy landing beaches and memorials, cider and calvados breweries, Rouen's cathedral, the list goes on...

Entry fees are £630.00 Per person and include:-

•  Five nights accommodation in Deluxe rooms at the Hôtel du Golf**** - Deauville
•  Buffet breakfasts
•  Three rounds of tournament golf
•  Welcome drinks reception and dinner on Monday evening - Louis Jadot wines included

Extra nights - £99.00 per person including breakfast.
Extra golf - £64.00 per round.
Sea View - £12.00 per person per night.

Travel arrangements

We can arrange any Channel crossing for you.  The most convenient (depending on where you live of course!) is probably the Brittany Ferries sailings to Caen - under an hour from Deauville.  There are day and night crossings, any of which we will be pleased to incorporate into your holiday.
Alternatively, the drive from Calais is Autoroute all the way and will take less than three hours.  So if you live closer to Dover than Portsmouth we can book a Eurotunnel or P&O Ferry crossing for you.
