We enjoyed three days of glorious sunshine around Versailles and some intense competition at the end of August. The 14^th Century Abbaye des Vaux de Cernay proved itself to be a notable venue for such a prestigious event and chilled Taittinger the perfect accompaniment to the exalted surroundings.

Stade Français provided as entertaining a course as ever and it was generally agreed that Le Golf National's Albatros course was long and unforgiving; sure to provide a tough test to those lucky enough to play in next year's Ryder Cup - bonne chance!

After some tough golf and a very strong challenge from the new boys and girls from Jersey, the winners emerged as two of our most regular of regulars John and Alison Moss. Who, incidentally, were celebrating their 20^th Taittinger Paris-Pairs! Well they say golf is all about patience...
