Amongst the lovely rolling hills of the Derbyshire Dales, the old Priory lies close to the village of Breadsall.  Not far from the city of Derby with its motorway connections, the Marriott resort is very easy to get to from all over the UK.

With two good courses in the grounds and plenty more in the area (including Collingtree) Breadsall Priory is a great base for golfing in  and around Derbyshire.

The original priory building has just four bedrooms (full of character and ideal for special occasions) within its ancient walls.  The others are the more usual Marriott room design with all the usual amenities (and those exceptional beds).  These are tucked away in a thoughtfully constructed new wing that is mostly unobtrusive from the grounds and golf courses.

The new wing also houses the golf clubhouse, indoor pool, jacuzzi, hot tub, tennis courts and the leisure club.  All of which you are most welcome to use during your stay.

For larger and corporate parties there is also a separate function room which we can arrange for you to have sole use of for your day.

There are two options for dining: either the relaxed Zest bar and restaurant that overlooks the pool or the more elegant and formal Priory restaurant within the main house (where your breakfast is also served).

There are also some fine old private rooms available, should you wish to arrange a private dinner, drinks reception or prize-giving for your party?

Breadsall lies practically on the cusp of the Derbyshire Divide (where limestone meets sandstone) this gives rise to two courses that are utterly different in character.

Moorland

18 holes: 6,028yds: par 70.
Much more open countryside on the gentle sandstone folds behind the hotel.  The course is predominantly out in the open with just the odd thicket here and there around the periphery of the course to shelter you from any breeze. Greens are generally larger and more receptive - so a good course to score well.
