The grandest hotel in York and well-placed within the city walls to get the utmost out of the your days and evenings in Yorkshire.  One of the oldest hotels in town it sits in a prime position: strollable to all of Yorks restaurants, bars and the riverside.
On arrival, the extremely helpful Concierge's will organise parking for you in front of the hotel or in the multi-storey nearby.

The Grand Hotel in York has a rather welcoming bar and a very good restaurant too; all very easy if you wish to relax in its comfortable surroundings of an evening!

On the lower ground floor, there is an indoor pool for a little gentle exercise and a spa area as well for any additional pampering requirements.

The Hotel du Vin in York is situated by Michaelgate, close to the old part of town where you will find the narrow, medieval lanes crammed with tea-shops, pubs and restaurants: exactly where you want to be!  In our opinion, easily the best place to stay for golf in York.

The Hotel du Vin is one of the fine old buildings of York: converted from a 19th Century orphanage.  It has 44 stylish rooms, each individually furnished and decorated with only one thing in common: class.  There are some delightful Suites too, if you wish to make your stay extra-special.  Whichever rooms you choose, your stay at the Hotel du Vin in York will be very comfortable.

Before dinner enjoy a relaxing drink in the hotel's bar, something from the fascinatingly-long wine list or maybe a cocktail?  If you're serious about your wine selection for dinner have a chat with the sommelier - always keen to advise and discuss pairings with the current menu.

The hotel's 'Bistro du Vin' is a lovely' airy, spot for dinner, striking just the right semi-formal note to make you feel relaxed yet special.  The food is delicious with a menu that changes with the seasons.
Should you wish to dine out on some evenings of your stay, within York's walls lurk a multitudinous array of truly top-quality restaurants (we shall recommend a few of our favourites before you go) and all are within a short stroll, so you can dispense with the car keys.
