MARRAKECH MASTERS 2023
5th - 10th February
An ultra-luxurious week at Marrakech's finest modern hotel, the Naoura, run by Lucien Barrière - the impeccable French hoteliers.
The competition is open to all club members with an official Handicap, playing in mixed-pairs* over three outstanding courses:
Royal Marrakech (fun/warm-up round), Samanah and Amelkis.
Winners decided by the highest combined Betterball Stableford score.
The event is limited to twenty-four golfers in total.
*Singletons are welcome and will be combined into pairs.
Tournament Schedule
Flights to Marrakech: BA (Heathrow), Easyjet (Gatwick or Manchester) Royal Air Maroc (Heathrow): please contact us for flight times and fares.
Transfer and check into the utter luxury of the Naoura Hotel & Spa***** - Deluxe rooms for all competitors.
Afternoon: Free to settle-in and get to know the hotel and spa or a stroll into the Medinah maybe?
Evening: Reception, tournament registration and welcome dinner at the hotel (wines included).
AM: Transfer to Royal Marrakech G.C. (the oldest course in town) for a fun competition in teams of four as a gentle warm-up before the two (slightly) more competitive rounds.
Afternoon and evening: at leisure to discover and dine in Marrakech.
AM: Transfer to Samanah G.C. a classic Jack Nicklaus designed course, notorious for its slick Greens, about half-an-hour south of Marrakech and close to the Atlas mountains, for the first of the (slightly) more competitive rounds.
Afternoon and evening: free.
A totally free day to relax by the pool, indulge in the spa, investigate Marrakech, haggle in the souks, or take a day-trip to the nearby snow-capped Atlas mountains: or a little bit of everything?
Day-trips and guided tours of the city can be arranged for you either before you arrive or ad-hoc during the week. The trip to the Berber villages in the Atlas mountains is always very popular.
Alternatively, more golf could be added on any of Marrakech's dozen courses - for the super-zealous golfer!
AM: Transfer to Amelkis G.C. for the final round of the week on this enthralling and challenging course.
Afternoon: free.
Evening: Prize-giving dinner at the Naoura: a traditional Moroccan dinner in a stylish setting providing a fitting end to our week in Morocco (wines included).
Check-out and departure.
Transfers will be provided to the airport.
Or why not stay a few extra nights? Maybe even play some more golf (there are a dozen courses encircling Marrakech these days)?
