Very handily placed, just south of Stroud, on the edge of Rodborough Common, the Bear of Rodborough offers classy accommodation and great food within a stonesthrow of Minchinhampton with its three golf courses: a West Country golf resort all of its own!
The hotel, although once a coaching inn, is these days much more in the 'Country House Hotel' style with good-size, well appointed bedrooms in soft colours and bright white bathrooms - all recently refurbished. Bedrooms come in three-or-four categories, so please ask us if you would like more than the standard-sized room?
In addition to the warm interior, there is a big garden at the rear of the hotel for a morning coffee or a quiet pint at the end of the day. Or, in the cooler months, head inside and crumple-up by the fire instead after a day out roaming the hills and plains of the Cotswolds.
The restaurant is one of the best features of the Bear of Rodborough and you will be more than happy to dine-in during your stay. Should you wish o venture out however, a short drive into Stroud will be required where there is a wide choice of other restaurants (and pubs) to entertain you.
