In deepest Spain, closer to Africa than Madrid, Seville enjoys an incredibly warm climate: Summers are far too hot for golfing but Autumn is just perfect.  The city has a rich history, swinging between Spanish and Moorish control over the centuries: a confluence of cultures that make it the fascinating city that it is today.
Golf will be played on Seville's most exclusive Golf Clubs: Real Sevilla, Real Piñeda and Zaudin; all of which are supported by a rather well-to-do membership engendering that cosy private club feel and ensuring Greenkeeping standards of the highest quality.  None of the courses is more than half-an-hour from the city centre (where we'll be staying) so very convenient too!

The tournament hotel - Las Casas de la Juderia****

Unique.  Utterly unique.  We shall be staying in 27 old Jewish houses, yes really, in the heart of Seville that have been masterfully melded into an extraordinary hotel - Las Casas de la Juderia.  Bedrooms are distributed throughout the old houses and linked by flowery courtyards, narrow passageways, even a tunnel!  We have never seen anything like it.  For cooling-off post golf, there is a rooftop pool, a small spa and for refreshment the most majestic bar in all of Spain.
For sightseeing and dining all of Seville is on your doorstep: the cathedral is a ten-minute stroll through narrow alleys lined with tapas bars and Flamenco dancers ¡olé!
Simply, the heart of Seville.

Tournament Schedule

Sunday 17th October

Morning: Flights to Seville, transfer* to Las Casa de La Juderia**** (ten-minutes).
*As we shall be staying right in the centre of Seville a hire-car may be surplus to requirements (and parking costs €24/day).  So we  are including transfers for all competitors between airport, hotel and golf courses.

Afternoon: Free

Evening: Tournament registration over a glass of chilled sherry (Handicap Certificates required), followed by a very short stroll to dinner (wines included).

Monday 18th October

Morning: Off to the southwest of Seville for the opening round of the tournament at Zaudin G.C.  Seville's most recent course, so a more modern style to the holes laid out across an ancient olive plantation.  Designed by none other than Gary Player, so expect more sand and more water than Seville's other two courses.  An appealingly spacious and open course (bring your sun-cream) that may well favour the longer hitters - as long as they're straight with it!

Afternoon & Evening: Free.

Zaudin GC

Tuesday 19th October

Morning: A short drive to Real Piñeda G.C. for the second round of the tournament.
Clube Hipica Real Piñeda is Seville's exclusive multi-sports family leisure club.  One of their principal activities is horse-riding (hence Clube Hipica), but they also have a rather fine golf course and, rather unexpectedly, several croquet lawns!  The course runs over level land so easily walked and offers up plenty of scoring opportunities on its immaculate Greens - so a real chance to score some points and leap up the leaderboard.

Afternoon & Evening: Free.

Real Piñeda GC

Wednesday 20th October

A full day of rest to relax and enjoy the sights and delights of Seville - there's plenty to see!
The big attractions are the Cathedral (where Christopher Columbus is interred) and Giralda belltower, its plaça and the Real Alcazar Palace just behind it (book your tickets in advance online to save queuing), then there is Pilate's House both floral and formal, get lost in the narrow lanes of the old town then emerge under the largest urban parasol with its rooftop walkway and cafés.  If bullfighting is your thing the Plaza de Toros beside the river is a fine example of the art, the Plaza de España is a grand monument set in formal gardens.  Everywhere you stroll tapas bars, cafés, creamy cake shops (Sevillians love a cream bun) and restaurants abound: you will not want for sustenance on your meanders.

Plaza d'España

Thursday 21st October

Morning: The final round of the tournament at Real Sevilla - la crème de la crème of Golf in Seville.  A wonderful Club and a wonderful course amongst cork oaks and palms, preened to perfection, with just the right blend of complexity to make it an honest challenge with rewards for accurate ball-striking.

Afternoon: Free.

Evening: Cocktail reception at the hotel followed by prize-giving dinner at a (very) nearby restaurant (wines included).

Real Sevilla GC
