SENIORS WEEK - LA BAULE

Despite the heatwave and tropical storms that hit Europe in late June this year we managed to enjoy three rounds of entertaining senior golf in southern Brittany.
The Hemitage Hotel***** was its usual luxurious and perfectly-placed base for the week and the staff looked after us admirably.  The three golf courses between La Baule and La Bretesche were all in fabulous condition for us and we enjoyed three beautiful days - if a little hot towards the end of the week!
Our prize-giving dinner at the Castel Marie-Louise on the last evening was a delicious way to end the event.
The winners (after a hard-fought tussle) emerged as:

First Place: Garry Taylor & Sue Bartram (Romford)
Second Place: John & Barbara Taylor (Southport)
Third Place: Leighton & Thelma Davies (Cardiff)
